Recently Indian government have launched the $35 touchscreen computer device. Very little information is available about the device as of now all that is know by press release made by Kapil Sibal is
- Linux based
- 2 GB Ram
- touch screen
- small form factor - possible similar to Ipad
- capability of web browsing, video conferencing
- word processing using open office
- usb support
- pdf viewer
I feel positive about this device, test of this device will be on the touch handling capability in my view, if it does now manage to handle well then this device is heading for the bins.
